3. Kirk Cousins is Deadly AccurateThe reason for this is in good part that Cousins throws a very catchable ball. Contrast him with the QB of the Carolina Panthers, who throws blue darters. All we ever hear is that these great receivers are making Cousins better. I would accept that in the case of Reed. But Cousins' throws are not just accurate, they have that softness where the ball is taking a helpful arc as it passes the receiver. It's a subtle matter of a degree or two, but it's almost always in the receiver's favor, making the catch just a little easier to make. This is a large part of the reason for his high completion percentage: his marginal throws are easier to haul in than those of almost any other QB you care to name. It's not only an underrated aspect of his play, I have literally never heard anyone mention it, though it's clear to see visually when you watch his throws.
One thing that you might've noticed in the previous table is his 69.8% completion rate in 2015 ranks 11th in NFL history for a single season. It was the second best completion percentage ever by a Washington passer behind only Sammy Baugh's 70.3% in 1945. http://www.hogshaven.com/2017/2/17/14635736/skins-stats-ten-reasons-kirk-cousins-is-worth-the-money
